Standing in the crowd, her eyes red with despair as she looked at the burnt stall, Ms. Dao Thi Phuong, a small trader who has been at this market for more than 30 years, said that all the goods in her stall, mainly votive paper, clothes, plastic items, etc., were almost completely burned by the fire, estimated to be worth nearly 150 million, most of which was borrowed money.
Sharing the same situation, Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc shared: "I still can't believe it, after just one night my family fell into debt... I borrowed 60 million to invest in this pharmacy, all the money from the sales I left here, now it's burned to ashes."

As previously reported, at around 8:00 p.m. on May 25, Mr. Le Van Thong, a resident living near Nghia Thuan market, located in Nghia Thuan commune, Thai Hoa town, suddenly discovered smoke coming from Ms. Dao Thi Phuong's grocery store, so he quickly called for help.
Many people nearby came to help put out the fire. However, because the door was locked, people could not get inside. The fire continued to rise and spread to the adjacent stalls. After about 20 minutes, the fire department, police and soldiers of Thai Hoa town mobilized 3 fire trucks and more than 50 officers and soldiers to put out the fire. After about 30 minutes, the fire was controlled and extinguished.

In reality, at Nghia Thuan market, most of the kiosks do not have fire extinguishers, and the traders are not trained in fire prevention, so when the market catches fire, they are not proactive.
