Truck driver who killed two young couples will be prosecuted

On May 28, Colonel Cao Tien Mai - Head of Nam Dan District Police said that the investigation agency is completing the file to issue a decision to prosecute Nguyen Sy Tien (born in 1989, residing in Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city) for violating regulations on driving vehicles on roads.
Tien was the driver of the truck that crossed the lane, crashed into two motorbikes going in the opposite direction, causing the death of Mr. Nguyen Khac Khoa (born in 1990, residing in Thanh Khe commune, Thanh Chuong) and his wife, and the other victim suffered a broken arm.
According to the 29-year-old driver, on the morning of May 22, he was driving a truck on Highway 46 in the direction of Vinh - Thanh Chuong. When he reached Van Dien commune, Nam Dan district, the truck overtook another car traveling in the same direction.
The car driven by Tien collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. Ho Sy Quy (born in 1949, resident of Van Dien commune) going in the opposite direction. After the collision, Mr. Quy and his motorbike fell to the side of the road. Meanwhile, the truck continued to rush into the left lane, hitting straight into the motorbike driven by Mr. Khoa.

At that time, Mr. Khoa was taking his pregnant wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet (born in 1992), to the hospital to give birth. After causing the accident, driver Tien quickly left the scene.
The accident site is on the National Highway, with no obstructed vision or obstacles.
After the accident, driver Tien was detained.
