Attending the meeting were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council: Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Hoang Viet Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee.

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Xuan Dai - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ho Phuc Hop - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Society Department; Phan Duc Dong - Head of the Provincial People's Council's Internal Affairs Department, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Department; Le Hong Vinh - Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Economic and Budgetary Department.

Accordingly, the 6th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021 is expected to open in mid-July 2018. At this session, the Provincial People's Council will consider 27 reports related to socio-economic, national defense - security in the province in the first 6 months of the year and activities of a number of sectors and fields; thoughts, aspirations and recommendations of voters sent to all levels and sectors.

This session will also consider 18 draft resolutions. Notably, the draft resolution on socio-economic development tasks for the last 6 months of 2018; Resolution on decentralization of management and use of public assets at state agencies, public service units, socio-political organizations, socio-political-professional organizations, social organizations, and socio-professional organizations; Resolution stipulating collection levels, collection, payment, management and use of entrance fees at Pu Mat National Park; Resolution stipulating support levels for schools recognized as meeting national standards in the 2018-2019 school year; Resolution stipulating support levels for commune-level Fatherland Front Committees and Front Work Committees in residential areas, etc.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council will also conduct personnel work according to its authority, which is to dismiss the duties of the Provincial People's Council delegates for the 17th term, 2016-2021 term, and elect additional positions as members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term.

Also at the meeting on the morning of May 30, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council discussed the plan to meet voters before the 6th session and the content of thematic supervision in 2019 of the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Xuan Son said that in order to improve the quality of issuing resolutions, the Provincial People's Committee needs to direct the departments and branches assigned to preside over the drafting of resolutions to properly follow the order of procedural documents.

Regarding the supervision content of the Provincial People's Council in 2019, based on the discussion of delegates at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Xuan Son emphasized that he will focus on two contents: Supervising the budget collection work in the province from 2016 to 2018 and supervising the management and use of non-budgetary funds and contributions from the people.

Regarding the content of food hygiene and safety management in the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: This is a content that is of interest to many people in the province, which was brought up for questioning by the Provincial People's Council at the previous session and then was urged by all levels and sectors and in fact there have been changes. Therefore, to continue promoting changes in this field, the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Committee has been assigned to include it in its monitoring program and plan.
