More than 2,000 youth union members volunteered in the summer of 2018
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 2, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Youth Union of the Ministry of Public Security to organize the launching ceremony of the 2018 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign with the theme "Creative youth, volunteering for the community" in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Tuan Vinh - Member of the Central Youth Union Standing Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; leaders of Nam Dan district; Provincial Youth Union committees, representatives of District Youth Unions and 2,000 youth union members of Nam Dan district.
On the side of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, there was comrade Vu Tien Tiep - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Committee's Inspection Committee. On the side of the Ministry of Public Security, there was comrade Major General Nguyen Xuan Ngu - Party Committee member of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee.

The "Summer Youth Volunteer" campaign is a key activity in the annual work program of the Youth Union and Association at all levels. This is an environment for youth union members to practice, contribute and mature; it is a place to express the highest aspirations of youth to contribute, with the spirit of vanguard and volunteerism "wherever needed, there are youth, wherever difficult, there are youth".

The ceremony called on youth union members across the province to be proactive, volunteer, dare to think, dare to do; actively participate in emulation movements to build new rural areas; transfer science and technology; support loans; build economic models for rural youth; build a civilized lifestyle, protect the environment... with the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties and hardships...
At the same time, call on all levels, sectors, political and social organizations and people to create conditions for the Youth Union to organize volunteer activities, contributing to the successful implementation of the economic and social development goals of each locality.

Initiating the spirit of volunteering among the province's youth union members, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son emphasized: "With the dynamism and creativity of the youth, I have high expectations that the action movements of the Union and Association in this year's Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign will achieve many good results in both quality and quantity. I firmly believe that this year's Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign will develop strongly and extensively, contributing positively to the socio-economic and cultural development of the heroic Soviet homeland."
Kicking off the 2018 volunteer summer, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Public Security donated 01 charity house to a policy family with difficult circumstances through Nghi Loc District Youth Union, and donated 2 playgrounds for children in Nam Dan District. The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union also decided to donate 01 charity house to a policy family with difficult circumstances through Anh Son District Youth Union and donated 2 playgrounds for children in the religious community of Hoang Mai town.

Also on this occasion, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of the Ministry of Public Security presented 20 gifts to students in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND.
The goal of the 2018 summer volunteer campaign is to establish 43 concentrated and specialized volunteer teams with the participation of 1,000 youth union members, including 3 international youth teams. Implement 2 provincial youth projects, 30 district projects, and 500 grassroots youth projects.

The Provincial Youth Union also set a goal of building at least 10 new playgrounds for children and teenagers; organizing free medical examinations and medicine for 5,000 subjects, mobilizing 5,000 blood donations and distributing 2,000 free rice porridges; visiting and giving gifts to 3,000 policy families and children in difficult circumstances; consulting and supporting 30,000 candidates and their families in the 2018 Exam Support Program; mobilizing resources to build 50 charity houses; building and repairing 100km of rural roads, dredging 40km of intra-field canals...
