"On North Korea, we are actively preparing for the June 12 summit between the president and the North Korean leader. The (US) team in Singapore is coordinating the final logistical details and will be there until the summit begins," Sanders told reporters at a press conference.
In addition, she said, the US continued talks with the North Korean delegation in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) and said "the discussions have made positive and significant progress".
"I can give you a rough schedule: the first meeting will be on June 12 at 9 a.m. Singapore time, which is 9 p.m. June 11, East Coast time in the United States," Sanders said.
