VTV officially owns the media rights to the 2018 World Cup
VTV has officially reached an agreement to own the copyright of the 2018 World Cup in Vietnam, ending days of tense negotiations with the copyright provider.

After a period of negotiation, at 6:30 p.m. on June 8, 2018, Vietnam Television and the World Football Federation FIFA reached an agreement on Vietnam Television holding the media copyright for the 2018 World Cup in Vietnam.
The two sides have reached an agreement covering all media rights for the 2018 World Cup in Vietnam as well as copyright sharing with third parties.
After the contract is officially approved by FIFA, VTV will specifically notify the audience about related content.
