2 Nghe An Newspaper Cup players attend the opening ceremony of the 2018 World Cup
(Baonghean.vn) - Players Nguyen Trong Tuan (ND Do Luong) and Pham Nguyen Quoc Trung (ND Quynh Luu) were selected to represent Vietnam to participate in the FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP (F4F) program and attend the opening ceremony of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

These are two players who participated in the 2017 Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament in the colors of Quynh Luu Youth Football Team and Do Luong Youth Football Team. After that, they were recruited to SLNA Club and played for the SLNA Children's Team to participate in the 2017 National Children's Tournament.
At the 2017 National Children's Football Tournament, Nguyen Trong Tuan won the title of "Player with the most goals", and Pham Nguyen Quoc Trung was the "Typical Player", and the SLNA children's team won the Championship.

With that excellence, Nguyen Trong Tuan and Pham Nguyen Quoc Trung were chosen to represent Vietnam to attend the F4F program, along with young players from 210 other countries and territories.
F4F is also known as a 'mini World Cup' with the name FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP held in Moscow, Russia. The F4F program, sponsored by Gazprom and FIFA, aims to develop youth football and help young players have a healthy lifestyle as well as a fair, open and respectful living environment for different cultures and countries.

The young players will be divided into 32 different teams to compete in Moscow (from June 8 to June 15, 2018), before the 2018 World Cup officially begins.
According to the draw, Trong Tuan will play as a defender in the team which includes players from Nigeria, Macau, Gambia, San Marino and Albania. Meanwhile, Quoc Trung will play the role of a young reporter and report on all activities of the F4F program as part of the children's journalism center.
The F4F season 6 will conclude with a visit by young athletes to the opening ceremony and opening match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
