On Saturday, Mr. Putin will attend a summit of leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Qingdao, China.

On Friday evening, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping took a high-speed train from Beijing to the port city of Tianjin to watch a match between the two countries' youth hockey teams.

Chinese TV channel SSTV showed footage of Putin and Xi Jinping making Tianjin cuisine, specifically dumplings, which resemble the popular Russian dish Pelmeni. One of the representatives of the Chinese delegation praised Putin's product, showing his thumbs up gesture.

Putin and Xi Jinping also tried a dish similar to Russian stuffed pancakes. Tianjin pancakes are filled with meat and vegetables. They are a traditional breakfast dish in many Chinese cities.
