Cancel 13 documents approving the establishment of universities
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has signed a decision to cancel documents approving the establishment policy and allowing the establishment of 13 universities that have exceeded the prescribed deadline.

These are the schools: Mekong International Private University (approved in 2004), Asia Private University (2005), Tran Hung Dao Private University (2005), Phuong Nam Private University (2007), Mekong University in Long An province (2007), Son Ha University (2009), Vietnam University in Soc Trang province (2009);
University of Maritime Economics and Technology (2009), Mekong Delta University (2010), Hong Ha University of Construction and Architecture (2011), Hoan My University of Medicine (2011), Phan Xi Pang University (2013) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Management and Technology (2013).
According to Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, in case the university construction investment project meets the conditions under current regulations, has a commitment to operate on a non-profit basis and is requested in writing by the People's Committee of the province where the school is headquartered to continue implementation, the Ministry of Education and Training will be assigned to consider, propose a handling direction, and report to the Prime Minister.
