More than 1,300 Yen Thanh residents participate in voluntary blood donation
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 10, Yen Thanh district coordinated with the Hematology Center and the Provincial Blood Donation Steering Committee to organize the first voluntary blood donation festival of 2018.
Attending the festival were representatives of Yen Thanh district leaders, a large number of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, armed forces, and youth union members from agencies, units, schools, communes, and towns in the district.

Thanks to good propaganda work, the festival attracted more than 1,300 people to donate blood, of which the youth union members and teachers accounted for a large number.

In one morning, the organizing committee collected 833 units of blood that met the standards, exceeding the planned target.
Voluntary donated blood will contribute to bringing life to critically ill patients in need of blood transfusions; bringing hope to many sick people.
The second voluntary blood donation campaign is expected to be held in Yen Thanh district in November this year.
