Expressing patriotism must be sober and legal.

(Baonghean.vn) - Every Vietnamese citizen has his or her own way of expressing patriotism. But whatever the method, it must be cultural and legal.

We often see in some developed countries that if people are not satisfied with the policies and decisions of the government or the authorities, they can take to the streets to march and protest, with a registered number, within the permitted space and time.

The protesters are basically dressed politely, walking on the roads with lines and soft dividers, they express their opinions and views on the interests they care about. That expression more or less contributes to influencing policy adjustments and decisions to ensure harmony of interests and reduce conflicts of interest.

Những kẻ xúi giục và bài học nhãn tiền

Instigators and the obvious lesson

(Baonghean.vn) - A lesson learned not long ago, those who incited and incited people to take to the streets and cause riots in response to the environmental incident in the central coastal region, such as Hoang Duc Binh, Nguyen Nam Phong, Nguyen Viet Dung, Tran Thi Xuan... were arrested and received severe sentences under the law.

They only express their opinions but are not allowed to infringe upon the legal rights of others, are not allowed to infringe upon order, security, even traffic safety, even noise and sound must be within the framework. If they go against the framework, of course they will be punished. There is no such thing as just starting to claim rights and then blatantly trampling on the legal rights of others.

In a state governed by law, all actions of citizens living there must be regulated by law! You cannot play around with the law, if you do not want to pay the price. Mild cases will be reminded, administrative sanctions, if you are reckless and extreme, the police can even use force and weapons to control and destroy.

Pháp phải huy động xe thiết giáp yểm trợ cho cảnh sát chống bạo động giải tán hàng trăm người biểu tình ở Notre-Dame-des-Landes, miền Tây nước Pháp ngày 10-4-2018
France mobilized armored vehicles to support riot police in dispersing protesters in Notre-Dame-des-Landes, western France on April 10, 2018.

On June 10, many images of people taking to the streets were circulating on social media. Looking closely at the images from clips, livestreams, close-ups and full-length shots of the crowd, I suddenly felt a shiver, unable to believe my eyes when I saw the chaos and fighting.

Many women, children, many red and blonde hair, many faces covered with masks, even those who deliberately filmed themselves, deliberately revealing their "familiar" images on some notorious extremist anti-government pages, shouted loudly, ran out into the streets, stopped all vehicles and rushed to attack and destroy everything they came across.

Người dân tràn ra đường gây ách tắc quốc lộ 1A ở trên địa bàn tỉnh Bình Thuận ngày 10/6
Excited people flooded the streets, causing a traffic jam on National Highway 1A in Binh Thuan province on June 10, 2018.

Some places such as: National Highway 1A, the provincial People's Committee headquarters, border guards, fire police... are where they go to destroy and scream. Is that a way for them to express their opinions on a bill that has not been submitted yet???

Many people expressed anger, frustration, disgust and fear at the image of crowds who could grab anything someone gave them to hold up into banners, streamers, with quite similar content, including the yellow flag with three stripes.

A clip also clearly shows the face of a furtive person looking around and stuffing prepared documents in his pocket to anyone passing by.

Some parishes even take advantage of children as young as eight or three years old, holding banners and streamers, to march on the streets. With their innocent, pure eyes, most of them are not aware of what they are doing, but only participate at the request of adults.

This not only violates the law but also violates ethics, causing bad consequences for children, the future generation of the country. Just because of political intrigue and economic interests, children become tools of dishonest people.

So, when they take to the streets, do they clearly express what opinion they are expressing? Whose opinion? Is that truly patriotism? Or are they falling into the trap of plots to hinder Vietnam's development by destroying a stable environment?

The "trance" of a chaotic crowd with many uncontrolled behaviors... is it a way to participate in contributing ideas to build more progressive policies???

Is spilling out into the streets to paralyze traffic, destroy government property, attack and injure law enforcement officers a way to fight to maintain or promote the progress of the law, is it out of love for the Fatherland and the Vietnamese people, is it an expression or an effective way to contribute to the process of bringing Vietnam closer to better things???

Những đứa trẻ ngây thơ cũng bị lợi dụng, bắt đứng giữa nắng làm trò1.
Innocent children were also taken advantage of, forced to stand in the sun and perform tricks.

I believe that people who are passionately passionate about their love for their country, truly love their country, their Fatherland, their people, and the future of their homeland, never choose those ways of expression, but have countless other ways of loving their country through talent, intelligence, mind, creativity, labor, creating products, works, projects, goals...

If you are clear-headed, then even in your thoughts, there is nothing, nothing related to the behavior that anyone looking at it would feel so horrible! Meanwhile, each person has many forums to express their own opinions.

The truth is that recently, personal pages and press agencies have reflected the opinions of many intellectuals, scholars, experts, artists, retirees, etc., frankly expressing their views, with many constructive voices and scientific analysis. Thanks to those critical voices, there have been adjustments, and the bill on special economic zones has not yet been submitted.

On the same Sunday, June 10, two contrasting scenes related to Vietnamese bloodshed can be seen online. In the first scene, many people took to the streets, causing chaos and bloodshed in some places, and it seems that these people still want to prolong it, not stopping there. In the second scene, civil servants, public employees, and workers in many places carried out “Pink Sunday” - donating blood to create a blood fund to help people in need, with the motto “a drop of blood given, a life left behind”.

Sáng 10-6, huyện Yên Thành đã phối hợp với Trung tâm huyết học và Ban chỉ đạo vận động hiến máu tỉnh tổ chức ngày hội hiến máu tình nguyện đợt 1 năm 20181.300 người dân tham gia hiến máu
On the morning of June 10, 2018, Yen Thanh district coordinated with the Hematology Center and the Provincial Blood Donation Steering Committee to organize the first Voluntary Blood Donation Festival of 2018 with the participation of more than 1,300 people.

The first scene makes many people angry, hateful, and hateful to those who encourage, assist, cheer or incite this scene to happen. The second scene always makes people feel warm, more confident in life because this society always has people willing to do good deeds, charity through practical, concrete work.

This is completely different from those who only show off their “patriotism” and “responsibility for the country” by posting populist, inciting, and provocative words on Facebook… Or there are gullible people who mistakenly believe they are patriotic when they take to the streets to cause disorder and attack law enforcement officers.

Sadly and pitifully, many innocent people, just because they were provoked by bad guys, were turned into puppets for them to control in order to harass and cause unrest in order to "report their achievements" to reactionary organizations in order to make dirty money.

Referring to this incident, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan expressed regret that "the people involved did not understand the true nature of the incident, had misunderstandings and misperceptions of the issue, and therefore took extreme actions; it is not excluded that the patriotism of the people was exploited to affect social order and safety."

Vehicles at the headquarters of the Binh Thuan Department of Planning and Investment were vandalized and burned by extremists on the night of June 10. Currently, the authorities in Binh Thuan have temporarily detained the law violators. "We are still investigating, screening, and classifying this group of people to handle them according to the law," said Colonel Nguyen Van Nhieu - Chief of Staff, spokesman of Binh Thuan Police.

Colonel Nguyen Sy Quang - Chief of Staff of Ho Chi Minh City Police Department commented: "The incident shows that there is a plot to incite and sabotage. People need to stay calm and not fall into the trap."

Obviously, acts under the name of patriotism are actually acts of causing disorder and insecurity, opposing the government. These are acts of violating the law and must be dealt with severely. Because no state or regime can accept such acts of violence and disregard for the law and discipline.
