In particular, with an essay of about 250 words, the male student from Amsterdam school highlighted the awareness of building relationships between family members as well as the responsibility of each citizen in protecting family cultural traditions against changes, impacts, and developments from the market economy.
In the main essay, Manh Linh talked about how he discovered differences in style and life philosophy among generations of his family due to the influence and impact of changes in society in each period, but they have in common that they always put things in perspective, selectively absorbing the positive aspects to move towards a better future.
Active in social and extracurricular activities

Le Manh Linh is one of the most successful Vietnamese students in this year's international university admissions season, having successfully conquered three Ivy League universities in the US. |
Although he majors in English, male student Le Manh Linh is very fond of social sciences. He considers English as a language to easily communicate, learn about the socio-economic background and cultural life of many countries in the world. Therefore, Linh always tries to take advantage of English to learn more about natural and social sciences.
Sharing the secret to studying well in all subjects, a male student from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted said that being proactive, self-studying, and learning plays a very important role in leading to success.
In class, Linh tries to focus on understanding the lesson right away, and if she doesn't understand something, she asks her teachers and friends. When she gets home, in addition to the assigned homework, Manh Linh tries to do more advanced review for the subjects to expand her knowledge and apply it in real life in the most effective way.
Not only is Le Manh Linh a good student, he is also a young, dynamic face in social activities and student exchanges.
It is the active involvement in community activities that has helped Linh change herself. Manh Linh is currently the Secretary General of IVMUN (a model in which high school students act as United Nations delegates) for the second consecutive year.

The IVMUN model has helped me learn about presenting ideas, diplomacy and cooperation with international organizations, as well as leadership and coordination roles, website design skills, and expanding exchanges with foreign students.
“After each presentation at IVMUN sessions, seeing the surprised expressions on people's faces when they learned that the person presenting fluently in English was a high school student also motivated me to continue developing the voice of young people, enhancing the MUN community in Vietnam and constantly trying to improve my language skills,” Manh Linh shared.
Although he received scholarships from three top universities in the US, Le Manh Linh will choose Yale University to study because the school allows students to take courses in the first year.
After that, when students know which career they like and are suitable for themselves, they can choose their major in the second year. In addition, Le Manh Linh also wants to study in depth in the field of natural and social sciences at this school.
The male student from Amsterdam hopes that his time studying in the US will help him gain more knowledge about socio-economics so that he can apply it to real life and build a more developed country./.
