6 tips for safe driving in crowded streets
Rush hour traffic is a nightmare for many drivers. By following these driving tips, you will be both safer and less stressed.
1. Keep a steady throttle
When traffic is heavy, always try to stay in your lane and strictly follow traffic signals. At the same time, keep the car running at a steady speed, never suddenly accelerate or decelerate to avoid collisions or surprise other cars.
2. Keep your distance

Keeping your distance from other cars in traffic is extremely difficult, but it is a must to avoid hitting the car in front of you when they brake suddenly.
Experience driving a car in the city during rush hour to keep distance is to always keep your foot on the brake; keep a distance of about 50 - 60cm from the car in front (avoid letting motorbikes pass); wait patiently until the road is wide enough to continue driving, avoid reckless overtaking.
3. Glance over the shoulder
Don’t just look in your rearview mirror, look over your shoulder. Be aware of blind spots that you can’t see in your rearview mirror. When changing lanes or backing up, always be on the lookout for oncoming cars and motorbikes.
4. Be patient
In case of traffic jam, try to be patient, do not try to find a way out because this will only make the situation more complicated. Moreover, if you try to turn around to find another way, or cross the lane to pass and the other side does the same, you will definitely risk being "rooted" on the road.
5. Limit turning around
Turning your car around when the road is congested is never a good idea. Turning around on a crowded street is very difficult, affects traffic flow, and causes chaos.
If you must turn around, stay calm and decisive. Many people may be annoyed if you make a U-turn incorrectly, but if you hesitate, you can easily cause a traffic jam for a long stretch of road.
6. Turn on the turn signal early

Always signal well in advance of where you want to turn or change lanes. Do not try to force another vehicle to change lanes or turn, as this may cause unnecessary conflict or confrontation.
