Robbie Williams gives middle finger during World Cup opening performance

The British singer showed off his amazing voice, unaffected by his age, on the opening night, but his moment of raising his "middle finger" was also recorded by millions of people.

The opening ceremony of the 2018 World Cup global football festival has just taken place with the main performances of two famous singers: Robbie Williams (former member of the band Take That, British superstar) and Aida Garifullina, a famous Russian soprano.

The performance received positive feedback from television audiences as well as enthusiastic cheers from hundreds of thousands of live spectators at the stadium.

Before the eyes of billions of viewers around the world, Robbie Williams performed songs that are associated with his name such asLet Me Entertain You,Feel, AngelsandRock DJ.Lead vocals with backing vocalsAida Garifullina, he shows his voice is still masculine and strong as in his youth.

However, at one point as Williams stepped down from the stylized soccer-shaped stage, he faced the live television camera and unexpectedly gave the "middle finger" as a special greeting to the television audience.

The moment was immediately captured and spread on Twitter while the performance was still going on. Many viewers posted pictures and commented: "I can't believe my eyes", "Did Robbie just do this on live TV?", "This man just made fun of half the world".

Ahead of the opening night, Robbie Williams shared: “I am happy and excited to be back in Russia and performing such a unique act. I have done many things throughout my career, but performing the opening act at the World Cup for 80,000 people in the stadium and millions of fans around the world is my childhood dream.”
