Realizing that the person who had just gotten into bed was not her husband, Ms. Tam (Ha Tinh) shouted for help, causing him to run away, forgetting his underwear.

On June 16, authorities in Huong Khe district (Ha Tinh) said they were working with a number of suspects and taking statements to find the culprit who broke into women's bedrooms in the area over the past 10 days.

Reporting to the police, Ms. Tam (27 years old) said that at around 4am on June 13, while she was sleeping with her young child, she saw a man sneak in and lie down next to her. Ms. Tam thought it was her husband, because he was a driver and often came home late. But when she realized it was not him, she panicked and resisted, forcing him to grab his clothes and run away.

Ms. Tam described the man as middle-aged, tall, with short hair and rough hands. When he ran away, he forgot his underwear. She guessed that he had broken in through the ventilation, because the front and back doors were securely locked.

In addition to Ms. Tam, the authorities also received reports from several teenage girls. According to the victims, in early June, at around 4 a.m. every morning, a man broke into their room while they were sleeping and committed lewd acts.

When resisted and shouted, the stranger got up and ran away. Because it was dark, the victims could not recognize his appearance, only guessing that he was a middle-aged man.

Mr. Phan Thanh Duyen, Chief of Phuc Dong Commune Police, said that according to reports at the time of the incident, the victims were all home alone.
