Comrade Tong Thi Phong visited and gave gifts to policy families in Nam Dan, Do Luong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 18, Comrade Tong Thi Phong - Politburo member, Permanent Vice President of the National Assembly visited and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and relatives of martyrs in Nam Dan and Do Luong districts.
Accompanying were members of the Party Central Committee, members of the National Assembly Standing Committee: Le Thi Nga - Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Law Committee; Nguyen Thuy Anh - Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs; Nguyen Thanh Hai - Head of the National Assembly's Petition Committee; Nguyen Hoang Anh - Chairwoman of the National Assembly's State Capital Management Committee.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of Nam Dan and Do Luong districts.

At Truong Bon National Historical Site, Permanent Vice President of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong presented 13 gifts to representatives of relatives of heroic martyrs of the Youth Volunteer Squad 2; and kindly visited and presented gifts to comrade Tran Thi Thong - former Squad Leader of Squad 2 - the Heroic "Steel Squad" of Company 317.
On this occasion, Comrade Tong Thi Phong presented funding to build 10 gratitude houses, which the National Assembly Office mobilized from individuals to support policy families with especially difficult circumstances in the two districts of Nam Dan and Do Luong. The funding for each gratitude house is 50 million VND.

Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong talked and visited the martyrs' relatives, expressing deep gratitude for the great contributions of policy families and martyrs' relatives to the cause of national construction and defense.
Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong affirmed that the Party, State and people always remember the great contributions and are deeply grateful to heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, families of martyrs, people with meritorious services and families of people with meritorious services to the revolution.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes that families will continue to promote revolutionary traditions, encourage their children and grandchildren to unite in labor and production, and contribute to building their homeland to become more prosperous and beautiful.
Expressing her joy at the results that Nghe An province has achieved in all fields in recent times, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong hopes that Nghe An province will continue to promote its heroic and revolutionary traditions, building Nghe An into a bright spot in patriotic emulation movements, including important criteria such as doing well in social security work, taking care of policy families and people with revolutionary contributions; promoting socio-economic development, building Nghe An homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh said that Nghe An province has paid special attention to policy families, war invalids and martyrs, and poor households in recent times. However, the poverty rate in Nghe An is still high, and the lives of policy families still face many difficulties. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that in the coming time, Nghe An province will continue to effectively implement mechanisms and policies to care for policy families and the poor.

The Provincial Party Secretary also assigned Nam Dan and Do Luong districts to coordinate with households to build solid gratitude houses, creating conditions for disadvantaged policy households to develop their economy and escape poverty sustainably.
