Nghe An: Woman selling fish sauce was seriously injured at night

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 19, the police investigation agency (Hoang Mai Town Police) said it was focusing its human resources to investigate and clarify the case of slashing and causing serious injuries that occurred on the night of June 18 in the area.

The victim was Ms. Tran Thi Que (born 1968), residing in Phuc Loi block, Quynh Di ward, Hoang Mai town.

Witnesses said that around midnight on June 18, they heard screams coming from Ms. Que's house. People ran to see Ms. Que unconscious, her face and head covered in blood with many slashes across her face.

The son, who is in 10th grade, said: "My mother was sleeping in bed with me when a masked man carrying a knife slashed her many times and then ran away."

That same night, people called an ambulance to take the victim straight to a hospital in Hanoi for emergency treatment in extremely critical condition.

It is known that Ms. Que usually sells fish sauce at Van market (Quynh Van) and some markets in Quynh Luu district. Her husband passed away 5 years ago, leaving her with two sons, the older son is married and lives separately, and the younger son is in 10th grade.

The case is currently being investigated by the Hoang Mai Town Police Department.
