After watching a late night football match, the homeowner forgot to lock the door and went upstairs to sleep. Thieves broke into the house and stole many valuables worth nearly 300 million VND.

On June 22, the Criminal Police Department of District 1 Police (HCMC) is investigating a major property theft case that occurred at a house located in alley 18A Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (Da Kao Ward).

Earlier, on the morning of June 19, Mr. H. (52 years old) went to the police station to report the loss of property. Mr. H. said that the stolen property included: 1 Dream motorbike, 1 SH motorbike, 1 Piago Vespa motorbike and a speaker system with a total value of about 300 million VND.

The police took statements from witnesses to investigate. After examining the scene, the police determined that there were no signs of forced entry. Checking the security camera system in the house, the police discovered that at 2:39 a.m. a young man opened the door and took away many belongings.

Initially, authorities determined that the homeowner was watching football late at night and forgot to lock the door, going straight upstairs to sleep, so the thief broke in and stole property.
