Two 5-year-old children died in a water hole in the field
(Baonghean.vn) - Two children, one boy and one girl, were playing in the field when they fell into a water hole and died.
The incident happened in the field of Dot Tan hamlet, Nghia Xuan commune, Quy Hop district.
On the afternoon of June 22, Truong Quang Duc (born in 2013, residing in Dot Tan hamlet, Nghia Xuan commune) and Truong Van Thien (born in 2013, residing in Soi hamlet, Tho Hop commune, Quy Hop) followed adults to the fields in Dot Tan hamlet. While the adults were planting rice, the two children were playing on the bank.

At around 6pm, when someone went down to the newly dug hole to wash their hands, they saw the bodies of the two children floating. When people brought the two children to shore, they were dead.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoat - Vice Chairman of Nghia Xuan Commune People's Committee confirmed the above incident and said that the cause of the incident is currently being clarified by the police.
Mr. Truong Van Minh, head of Dot Tan hamlet, said that the place where the two children fell was a water hole about 10 square meters wide, which had just been dug to construct a power line.
It is known that Duc and Thien are the children of his mother and his uncle. During the summer vacation, Thien went to Duc's house to play and the heartbreaking incident happened. The bodies of the two children were handed over to the two families by the police for burial.
