In 2017, in the assessment of the inspection, supervision and disciplinary enforcement work of the Party by the Central Inspection Commission, it was stated: Handling negativity and corruption has no forbidden zones, no safe landing, clearly seeing the specific personalities of Party members and officials who have degraded moral qualities and changed, not just a "not small part" as before...

Since then, officials and people have increasingly trusted and supported, contributing to the work of preventing corruption.

On June 25, the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption held a National Conference to review anti-corruption work. This was also an opportunity for many officials, party members, and people to express their thoughts and appreciate the determination of our Party and State in anti-corruption work.

Mr. Do Hong Ky, a Party member of residential group 15, Viet Hung ward, Long Bien district, Hanoi, expressed his great confidence in the Party's anti-corruption work. Mr. Ky said that after many corruption cases were disciplined and prosecuted by the Party and State, it helped regain people's trust in the Party.

“We hope that the Party’s handling of corruption should be more proactive. We must eliminate vested interests, do things thoroughly, and recover state assets that have been lost or misappropriated due to embezzlement and corruption,” said Mr. Ky.

According to Mr. Pham Ba Lu, a retired cadre in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the Party's anti-corruption work in recent times has clearly demonstrated its determination and determination. When the Anti-Corruption Committee was transferred to the Politburo for direct command, with the General Secretary as its head, it was a step in improving the organization to prevent corruption more effectively. Mr. Pham Ba Lu suggested that the anti-corruption work must be stronger at all levels.

“I see that the anti-corruption work at the central level has been determined, but at the local level it has not been thoroughly understood and implemented seriously. Many localities have almost not detected corruption, and when it has been detected, it has not been thoroughly addressed,” said Mr. Lu.

According to Mr. Lu, in Ho Chi Minh City, the handling of the problems in the Thu Thiem new urban area or land and planning issues has not gone deep and thoroughly to find corrupt individuals. Some important cases have been brought to trial but the recovery of assets has not been much, making the fight against corruption not meet the requirements.

Mr. Bui Duc Sang, in Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh city, also hopes that the Party and State will be more determined in the fight against corruption in the coming time. “I welcome the leadership and direction that has changed and done well in the fight against corruption. I also welcome the prosecution of a number of corruption cases in the past time, which has had a deterrent effect, and I hope that this work will be maintained regularly and continuously. The declaration of assets must be determined from the central to local levels, and must be transparent and public to be effective,” said Mr. Bui Duc Sang.

Colonel, People's Armed Forces Hero Pham Hanh Phuc, currently living in Tan Phong Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, expressed his agreement and excitement about the results of our Party's anti-corruption work in recent times.

According to Mr. Pham Hanh Phuc, in addition to the achieved results, people also expect more positive moves. In addition to handling erring officials, it is also necessary to recover corrupt assets because they are tax money, the sweat and tears of the people. In the fight against corruption, it is necessary to eliminate the situation of "hot above, cold below" when the Central Government is resolute, while some ministries, branches and localities have not yet fully demonstrated the spirit of common struggle.

In Da Nang, many party members believe that the Party's anti-corruption efforts have had a positive impact on all classes of people, cadres and party members. However, the handling of violations must be resolute, careful and target the right people and the right crimes to create trust among the people.

“In the fight against corruption in recent times, I see that the Steering Committee has been very determined. In my opinion, we need to be more determined and more thorough. There are still many party members who have committed violations and corruption that have not been dealt with,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Hoanh, Secretary of the Party Cell of Residential Area 21, Hoa Thuan Tay Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City.

Mr. Thai Cong Binh, from Rach Gia, Kien Giang, said that he has great confidence in the fight against corruption directed by the General Secretary. Referring to the specific issue in the locality where he lives, Mr. Binh said that Phu Quoc is a hot spot that needs to be inspected to clarify violations to regain people's trust.

According to Mr. Binh, the locality has organized many inspection and examination teams in the past, but the results have not been satisfactory. Mr. Binh expressed his opinion that in Phu Quoc alone, in addition to inspecting land management, the Government needs to conduct comprehensive inspections, both in terms of the organizational structure and specific cases. Only then can Phu Quoc develop and ensure the rights of Phu Quoc residents./.
