The publication emphasizes that although there has not been a final decision on a possible summit, "everyone is preparing for the fact that it takes place in Helsinki," - Politico writes.
Earlier, the Financial Times reported, citing a senior source in Russia, that the meeting between Putin and Trump took place after the US President visited the UK on July 13.
According to the publication, the two sides agreed that other countries besides Austria would be more suitable and convenient for the meeting.
Later, Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian President, refused to comment on the newspaper's information.
