Two people were killed and injured while illegally crossing a public road.
(Baonghean.vn) - Crossing an illegal level crossing, two women were hit by the Thong Nhat train, sending their motorbike flying. One died on the spot, and the other is in critical condition.
A serious railway accident occurred at 2:30 PM this afternoon (June 27) on the North-South railway line (km 270+575) in Hamlet 16, Dien Yen Commune, Dien Chau District.

According to the report, at the time of the incident, the Thong Nhat train, number SE 36, traveling from Hanoi to Vinh, struck a motorbike with license plate 37M1 - 636.50 driven by Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien (born in 1983), residing in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, carrying her mother, Ms. Nam, residing in Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district. The motorbike was crossing the railway tracks from National Highway 48 towards National Highway 1A. The powerful collision resulted in Ms. Nam's immediate death, while Ms. Ngoc was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
