A group of farmers gambled by shaking the dice at a billiard hall.
(Baonghean.vn) - A group of farmers in Ky Son commune (Tan Ky) were arrested by the police for gambling by shaking dice in a billiard hall.
On the morning of June 29, Tan Ky District People's Court brought a gambling case to trial against 8 defendants, all residing in Ky Son commune, Tan Ky district.

The defendants include: Tran Van Binh, Le Van Loi, Nguyen Van Ky, Le Van Chau, Le Song Hao, Le Van Hung, Nguyen Van Phu, and Tran Kieu Hung.
According to the indictment, at about 1 p.m. on March 15, 2018, after dinner, Binh invited Chau, Hung, and Loi to the restaurant to drink water and play billiards. A while later, Hao came to play. The four of them took a porcelain bowl and a porcelain plate and placed them in the middle of the mat, then started gambling by shaking the dice. A while later, Ky and Phu came and joined the gambling.
At about 2:30 p.m. the same day, Tan Ky District Police raided the shop and caught the subjects gambling, confiscating 600,000 VND at the gambling table and nearly 13 million VND from the subjects.
During the investigation, the police had sufficient grounds to determine that the subjects used 6.1 million VND for gambling. Of these, Ky and Hao had previous convictions for property theft; Phu was previously sentenced to 7 months in prison by the Tan Ky District People's Court for gambling.
At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced Hao to 9 months in prison, Ky to 6 months in prison, and the other defendants to suspended sentences and non-custodial reform.
