Announcing 5 Resolutions passed by the National Assembly at the 5th Session

The Resolutions announced include: Resolution No. 58/2018/QH14 on Approval of the State Budget (NSNN) settlement in 2016; Resolution No. 59/2018/QH14 on the National Assembly's Supervision Program in 2019; Resolution No. 61/2018/QH14 on the establishment of the Supervision Team "Implementation of policies and laws on planning, management and use of land in urban areas from the effective date of the 2013 Land Law to the end of 2018"; Resolution No. 62/2018/QH14 on the establishment of the Supervision Team "Implementation of policies and laws on fire prevention and fighting in the 2014-2018 period"; Resolution No. 63/2018/QH14 on questioning activities at the 5th Session of the 14th National Assembly.

Specifically, in Resolution No. 58/2018/QH14, the National Assembly approved the 2016 state budget settlement as follows: Total state budget revenue is 1,407,572 billion VND; total state budget expenditure is 1,574,448 billion VND; State budget deficit is 248,728 billion VND. Sources to offset state budget deficit include: domestic loans of 197,165 billion VND; foreign loans of 51,563 billion VND.

In Resolution No. 59/2018/QH14, the National Assembly decided on 5 supervision contents at the 7th Session, including the thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on planning, management and use of urban land from the effective date of the 2013 Land Law until the end of 2018"; 8 supervision contents at the 8th Session, including the thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on fire prevention and fighting in the period 2014-2018".

In Resolution No. 61/2018/QH14, the National Assembly decided to establish a Supervisory Delegation on “Implementation of policies and laws on urban planning, management and land use from the effective date of the 2013 Land Law until the end of 2018”. Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Phung Quoc Hien was the Head of the Supervisory Delegation, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh was the Standing Deputy Head of the Delegation. Deputy Heads of the Supervisory Delegation include: Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment Phan Xuan Dung; Head of the Petition Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai.

In Resolution No. 62/2018/QH14, the National Assembly decided to establish a Supervisory Delegation on “Implementation of policies and laws on fire prevention and fighting in the period of 2014-2018”. Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Ba Ty was the Head of the Supervisory Delegation, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee on National Defense and Security Vo Trong Viet was the Standing Deputy Head of the Delegation. The Deputy Heads of the Supervisory Delegation include: Chairwoman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Judiciary Le Thi Nga; Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee Tran Van Tuy.

Resolution No. 63/2018/QH14, the National Assembly acknowledged the solutions and commitments of the Government, Ministers of the Ministries of Transport, Natural Resources and Environment, Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Education and Training and Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies in performing their assigned functions and tasks. The National Assembly requested the Government, Prime Minister, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies to focus on implementing the commitments and synchronous solutions to overcome shortcomings and limitations, create strong changes in state management in the fields questioned at this session, and report to the National Assembly at the next sessions./.
