Great tips for going to the beach

Going to the beach, besides enjoying the white sand and golden sunshine, sometimes small inconveniences can spoil your trip. Below are some great tips to help make your trip more comfortable, fun, and safe than ever.

Remove the sand stuck to your feet.

Playing at the beach is fun, but having sand stuck to the soles of your feet is no fun at all. Many people complain that no matter how hard they try to wipe it clean, they can't get rid of all the sand, and in the end, they have to walk around in shoes that crunch with sand.

Actually, there's a simple solution to get rid of those pesky grains of sand: pour some talcum powder onto a piece of cloth and wrap it tightly. Before putting on your shoes, rub the cloth wrap against the soles of your feet; the talcum powder will absorb the excess moisture, making it easier for the sand to fall off your feet.

Create a secure place to store your car keys.

If you bring your car keys to the beach, chances are you'll lose them while running around and having fun. Try a safe place to hide your keys that you might not have thought of: hiding them on the side of your car's tire.

Take a soft twig, tie it to your keys, and then hang it on the side of the wheel. At first glance, it will look like just a blade of grass stuck to the wheel.

Store valuables

Almost everyone who goes to the beach faces a dilemma: where to put their wallet, phone, and keys? Leaving them on the beach makes them easy to lose, but assigning someone to watch them spoils the fun.

A simpler way is to hide them in places where no one will see them. Try using a baby diaper to wrap your valuables. This way, even if you leave them right on the beach, no one will bother looking.

Avoid headaches

When participating in activities like swimming or diving, you may experience headaches due to sudden changes in pressure. This can be remedied with a simple method: before entering the water, pinch your nose shut, close your mouth, hold your breath for 5-10 seconds, then exhale deeply and repeat this process two more times. Your body will then adapt to the new pressure, and you won't have to worry about headaches anymore.

Keep your phone dry.

To protect your phone from moisture and sand, place it in a ziplock bag. Then, use the clip to squeeze all the air out of the bag. This way, you can enjoy yourself without worrying about your phone getting wet.

Treating tinnitus

If you accidentally get water in your ear, and the ringing persists despite trying everything, try this trick: Take a balloon, cover your nose with it, and blow into it.

While blowing, you might hear a small clicking sound in your ear; that's when the pressure in your ear returns to normal.

Keep drinks cool.

With the temperature at the beach, even if you bring iced drinks, they'll quickly lose their coolness. The best way is to bring a bottle of ice.

It's very easy: Fill a water bottle halfway, put it in the freezer, and then take it to the beach. Now, whenever you're thirsty, just pour your favorite drink into the bottle for an instant cold beverage.

Sandproof resting place

To prevent wind from blowing sand onto your shoes, clothes, and bags, instead of using a regular beach chair, create your own "fortress" by laying out cushions and enclosing it. This resting place looks quite similar to an inflatable pool without water – how interesting!

Avoid overheating your shoes.

Nothing is worse than having to slip your feet into hot flip-flops after a fun time at the beach. The trick is simple: turn them upside down to keep the soles cool.

Soothe sunburned skin

To treat sunburned skin, use aloe vera juice. It's very simple: extract the gel from an aloe vera leaf and freeze it. Then, use these ice cubes to wipe your face, arms, or any other sunburned area. The aloe vera juice will help reduce pain and promote skin recovery.
