(Baonghean.vn) - In Quang Tri, there are up to 72 martyr cemeteries, of which Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery and Road 9 National Martyrs Cemetery are the two largest cemeteries.

On the afternoon of July 4, towards the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2018), a delegation of Nghe An province went to Quang Tri to offer incense and flowers to the heroic martyrs at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery and Road 9 National Martyrs Cemetery. The delegation at the National Martyrs' Cemetery of Route 9. This cemetery is located on Highway 9 (Dong Ha City), the resting place of 10,087 heroic martyrs who fought and served on the Route 9 front, the Quang Tri battlefield and Laos during the resistance war against the US, including 220 martyrs from Nghe An. After 2 resistance wars, the whole Nghe An province had more than 45,000 martyrs who heroically sacrificed, many of whom their children have not been able to bring home for burial. Photo: Tien Hung |
