According to open sources, American fighter jets are quite expensive, with the F-22 costing $146.2 million (approximately over 3 trillion VND) and the F-35 ranging from $83 million to $108 million.
Meanwhile, the price of Russia's fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jet is 2.5 times cheaper than two American fighter jets manufactured by Lockheed Martin, according to Russian lawmaker Vladimir Gutenev, a member of the State Duma's expert panel on aviation industry.

"Russia's fifth-generation fighter jet is fully capable of competing with the American F-22 and F-35. The Su-57 is cheaper despite having similar characteristics and even has some features, such as maneuverability, that are better than the American aircraft," Sputnik quoted Gutenev as saying.
According to this expert, the Su-75 fighter jet has been tested in the battlefield, during the anti-terrorism campaign in Syria. The Su-57 has superior stealth capabilities and is manufactured by Sukhoi. The first batch of Su-57s is scheduled to enter service in 2019.
