Leaving the dark cave, Thai young soccer players lost 2kg
Most of the boys rescued from Tham Luang cave lost an average of 2kg after 10 days of starvation. Of these, the last 4 players to be brought out are still unable to speak normally.
An inspector from the Thai Health Department said today, July 11, that most of the young soccer players rescued from Tham Luang cave (Chiang Rai province) have lost an average of 2kg due to not eating or drinking.

However, the players' health is generally stable, and there are no signs of nervous tension. At least two players are currently being treated for pneumonia.
The Wild Boar team said they did not see any bats or other animals in the cave.
Health officials had previously feared the boys' soccer team could have contracted an infection from contact with bats, also known as "cave disease".
However, doctors said they will continue to monitor to rule out infectious diseases.
Samples of the players and coaches have been sent to Chulalongkorn Hospital (Bangkok). Results are expected in 2 days.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ananya Sinrachatanant, from the Royal Thai College of Psychiatrists, said the survivors' mental health was still fragile, as they had just returned after being trapped in a flooded cave for more than two weeks.
Ms Ananya recommends ensuring the team's privacy, and refraining from asking them questions about what happened, or blaming them for their actions.
A doctor at Chiangrai Prachanukroh Hospital, where the 12 boys and their coach are being treated, said the last four boys rescued on July 10 were still unable to speak normally.
“The eight people who were rescued earlier were able to talk. No one seemed too stressed,” the doctor announced at a press conference this morning.
The fast-recovering players are now able to eat solid food and remove their sunglasses as they get used to the light outside.
The first four rescued players were also able to meet their families, but only from a distance.
"Most of the players are still lying in bed and cannot move normally," the doctor revealed.
It is expected that the players and coaches can be discharged from the hospital within the next week, after their health gradually stabilizes and the testing process is completed.
