Nghe An: Wanted man used a pistol to shoot and injure two scouts
(Baonghean.vn) - When being surrounded and arrested, Gia Cha Xia used a homemade pistol to shoot at the police, injuring two scouts.
On July 12, Ky Son District Police announced that the unit had just arrested Gia Cha Xia (born 1959), residing in Dooc May Commune, Ky Son District, according to Wanted Decision No. 153/QD-TN dated February 5, 2018 for the crime of Resisting a person on official duty.

According to the case file, in 2014, Vu Y Rua (born 1966, wife of Gia Cha Xia) was prosecuted for intentionally causing injury but she quickly fled the area. On November 16, 2014, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District Police issued a wanted notice for Vu Y Rua. On December 18, 2017, when Rua sneaked home to visit relatives, she was arrested by the police.
On the way to escort Vu Y Rua to the police station, Gia Cha Xia (Rua's husband) and his two sons, Gia Pa Xong and Gia Ba Khu, used firearms to attack the police. After that, Vu Y Rua and Gia Cha Xia escaped. Only the two sons, Gia Pa Xong and Gia Ba Khu, were arrested by the police.
Some time later, Vu Y Rua surrendered to the Ky Son District Police. Gia Cha Xia continued to hide in the deep forest. Here, he built a tent to live day by day. Xia also bought, manufactured and stored homemade guns to deal with the police's siege.
Based on the mobilization and use of professional measures, Ky Son District Police discovered Gia Cha Xia hiding in the border area between Dooc May Commune and Na Loi Commune, Ky Son District. On July 11, Ky Son District Police planned to surround and arrest him.
When the scouts rushed in to control the group, Gia Cha Xia used a pistol to shoot at the task force, injuring two scouts. Despite being injured, the scouts still controlled, disarmed and successfully arrested Xia.
At the scene, the police seized a homemade pistol and five bullets, one of which was loaded. Searching the camp of Gia Cha Xia, the police seized another homemade gun and a knife.
Currently, the Ky Son District Police Investigation Agency is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
