97.93% of Nghe An students are considered for graduation recognition

(Baonghean.vn) - At the end of the 2018 National High School Exam, 97.93% of Nghe An students were considered to have graduated. The number of candidates who failed mainly fell into the case of failing, having a record made during the exam or having a total score of subjects after adding up the scores (exam score + priority points (if any) + average score of grade 12/2) below 5 points.

According to the Department of Education and Training, in this exam, there are many schools with a graduation rate of 100%, such as Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Vinh University High School for the Gifted, Ethnic Minority High School, Cua Lo High School, Nghi Loc 2 High School. Besides, there are some non-public schools such as Nguyen Hue High School, Nguyen Trai High School, Tran Dinh Phong High School (Yen Thanh) and Nghi Loc District Continuing Education Center.

However, there are still some schools with quite low graduation rates such as Quynh Luu 3 High School: 93.49%, Tay Hieu High School: 91.62%, Cu Chinh Lan High School: 93.86% and Tan Ky High School: 94.32%. In addition, one of the units with the lowest results is Continuing Education Center No. 2 with a graduation rate of only 55.56%.

Thus, with this result, the graduation rate of Nghe An students in the 2017-2018 school year is 0.32% lower than last year but still higher than the national average (97.57%).

Previously, after 3 years of implementing the National High School Exam, the graduation rate of 12th graders in the province was 95.8% (2014-2015 school year), 97.46% (2015-2016 school year) and 98.25% (2016-2017 school year).

In the 2018 National High School Exam, Nghe An had more than 31,000 candidates taking the exam. As a result, 141 exams were scored as failing, of which the most were Foreign Language (75 exams), Math (21 exams), and Literature (12 exams). In the whole province, there were 99,949/185,704 exams with scores below 5 points (accounting for 53.82%).

In addition, the number of exams with scores of 8 or higher is more than 6,000, and the number of exams with scores of 9-10 is 558./.
