Preparing for the memorial service at the Vietnam - Laos Martyrs Cemetery
(Baonghean.vn) - In preparation for the grand requiem ceremony taking place on July 20 and 21, the Anh Son District Youth Union mobilized over 1,000 youth union members from 21 communes and towns in the area to take care of martyrs' graves and decorate the cemetery grounds.

Since July 18, Anh Son district union has mobilized 130-150 union members from 21 union bases every day to take care of graves and decorate the ceremony area...
The activity promotes the spirit of volunteerism of Anh Son youth, thereby educating today's young generation about the tradition of patriotism, gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations who fell for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
The grand requiem ceremony at the Vietnam-Laos Martyrs' Cemetery is organized annually by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province in coordination with the People's Committee of Nghe An province and the People's Committee of Anh Son district to pay tribute and commemorate the heroic martyrs of volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who sacrificed for the revolutionary cause of the two nations, for the peace and happiness of the people.
