The shell is more than 20 cm thick, the door is as heavy as the door of a Boeing 757. The glass door alone is nearly 13 cm thick, made up of at least 5 layers to create shock absorption from the outside. The tires are Goodyear run-flats the size of bus tires, reinforced with kevlar fibers, allowing the car to still run a certain distance when punctured. The interior is completely isolated from the outside to prevent chemical weapons. Around the fuel tank is a layer of padding to prevent impact and explosion. Photo: Brooks Kraft. |
