After being bitten, Xiaofang immediately ran out to buy some plaster to bandage the wound. However, when she got home, she felt unwell and told her family. Her family immediately took her to the hospital.

When they arrived, Xiaofang was unconscious. While the doctors were examining her, her heart and pulse stopped. Thanks to timely emergency care, Xiaofang's heart started beating again, but she remained unconscious and unable to breathe without a ventilator.

Knowing that the cause was a banded krait bite, the doctors contacted a hospital in Shanghai to request an antidote. This type of snake is not common in Shaanxi province but only lives in southern China and Southeast Asia.

A day later, a new antidote was delivered and injected into Xiaofang. But this time, it was no longer effective. The young girl was declared brain dead.

According toThe PaperXiaofang's family reported the incident to the police, saying they did not know where the snake had gone. Fortunately, the animal was later found dead near a trash bin about 100 meters from Xiaofang's home.

After checking Xiaofang’s text messages with the online seller, police found that the seller had made it clear to the young woman that the snake she wanted to buy was highly poisonous. When asked why she bought it, Xiaofang only said that she wanted to make snake wine. But according to friends and family, Xiaofang intended to keep it as a pet.

Police are continuing to investigate this transaction.
