Nghe An groom shares about the wedding reception by buffalo cart on a rainy day
“While the bride and groom were sitting in the buffalo cart, the wedding procession and the bride’s family had to take off their shoes and wade through the mud. The road was so muddy and slippery that it scared the bride’s family,” said the wedding guests.
Sharing by Nguyen Bao Nam - the owner of the clip "Welcoming the bride by buffalo cart" in Nghe An, said that the video was filmed during the process of welcoming the bride of groom Le Cong Tom (born in 1998) and bride Ho Thi Tuyet Suong (born in 2000).

Bao Nam is the groom's brother from the same village so he was given the responsibility of filming the memorable moments during the wedding procession.
According to Bao Nam, the bride and groom's houses are 25 km apart. The groom lives in Quynh Thang commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An and the bride lives in Quynh Hau commune, Quynh Luu district.
When going to pick up the bride, the groom's family also prepares a wedding car and cars and motorbikes. However, these vehicles must stop on a main road about 1km from the house.

Bao Nam said that this 1km stretch of road is a narrow dirt road. Normally, cars cannot enter. Now that it is raining, the road is muddy and slippery, making travel even more difficult.
“While the bride and groom were sitting in the buffalo cart, the wedding procession and the bride’s family had to take off their shoes and wade through the mud. The road was so muddy and slippery that it scared the bride’s family,” said Bao Nam.
Confirming with reporters, groom Le Cong Tom said that picking up the bride by buffalo cart was the idea of both the couple. However, the preparation was not good enough so the buffalo cart was not as "magnificent" as he had hoped.
According to Mr. Tom, his intention is to decorate a lot to make this special wedding car more splendid.
