(Baonghean.vn) - That is the information reported today, July 23, by the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Nghe An province to the Central Steering Committee.

According to the report (No. 43/BC.VP-PCTT dated July 23, 2018) of the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Nghe An province, as of 4:00 p.m. on July 23, the total economic damage caused by storm No. 3, tropical depression and floods in the province was estimated at 654.38 billion VND.

Previously, on July 21, in a quick report to the Prime Minister, Nghe An suffered only 1 injured person.

However, from July 13 to 19, 2018, 5 people died and 2 people went missing, but according to the localities, the cause was not caused by storms and floods; specifically: Anh Son district lost 2 people (missing since July 17 while fishing on Lam river); Vinh city lost 1 person (drowned on Bac canal on July 17); Dien Chau district lost 2 people (1 person died on July 17, electrocuted while repairing the electrical system in the house to help a neighbor; 1 person died on July 19, electrocuted while arranging furniture in the house); Hoang Mai town lost 2 people (1 person died on July 17, due to a fall and traumatic brain injury; 1 person died on July 19 due to drowning while bathing).
