Timely resolve cases related to complaints among the people

According to the report presented at the conference, in general, the internal affairs situation in the area was ensured positively during the month, the sectors in the bloc have well implemented the tasks of the unit, especially the tasks directed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee at the meeting last month.

The authorities have proactively grasped, analyzed, forecasted the situation and synchronously deployed forces and measures to prevent and stop reactionary and opposing elements from taking advantage of the promulgation of the Law on Cyber ​​Security and the draft Law on Special Economic Zones to sabotage. Advised the Party Committee and the government to promptly resolve outstanding incidents and complaints among the people, preventing complications from occurring and forming "hot spots" of security and order.

Many economic and drug cases have been solved, and a large amount of evidence has been seized. During the month, 117 cases and 143 subjects were discovered and arrested for drug crimes, 20 cakes and 11 kg of heroin, 129.2 grams and 38,585 synthetic drug pills were seized, 23 kg of crystal meth, 5.8 grams of marijuana, and 15 kg of opium were seized. In particular, 4 major drug trafficking rings and locations were destroyed in Thai Hoa town and Thanh Chuong, Nghia Dan, and Yen Thanh districts.

The two-level prosecution agencies have strengthened coordination in investigating, prosecuting and trying cases, especially major drug cases and cases directed by the Provincial Party Standing Committee. Inspection and examination work has been actively implemented, detecting and recommending timely handling of violations. Through inspection, it was recommended to recover VND 8.4 billion, of which VND 4.02 billion has been recovered. The rate of handling complaints and denunciations reached 75.8%.

Sectors such as the Customs Department, Market Management Department, and Forest Protection Department have strengthened inspection, supervision, and coordinated the arrest of many cases related to fraud and counterfeit goods trading. Typically, there are 2 cases of smuggling and counterfeit goods, seizing a large amount of evidence, worth more than 2 billion VND.

However, according to the assessment at the conference, there are still some complicated situations such as limited land management leading to many violations, the progress of resolving some cases and lawsuits under the direction of the Provincial Party Committee is still slow, the pressure on handling cases for the People's Procuracy and the People's Court at two levels continues to be tense due to the increasing number of cases and lawsuits while the staff is not arranged to increase...

At the conference, representatives of the leaders of the sectors in the Internal Affairs Sector gave their opinions to continue to effectively implement the tasks in the coming time. The conference agreed on a number of key tasks in August 2018 such as focusing on advising and effectively resolving complicated cases related to complaints among the people; stepping up attacks and suppression of all types of crimes; continuing to strengthen the State management of security and order in conjunction with promoting administrative reform, criminal enforcement and judicial support; strengthening the exercise of the right to prosecute and supervise judicial activities, etc.
