Mr. Son: 5 years of transferring science and technology to more than 10 thousand farming households
(Baonghean.vn) - After 5 years of implementing the Agricultural Restructuring Project for the period 2013 - 2017, Anh Son district has restructured agricultural production in the direction of focusing on developing crops and livestock with the district's advantages associated with the processing industry and consumption market to ensure sustainable development. And especially, science and technology have been transferred to more than 10,000 farming households.

Currently, in Anh Son area, there are 2 high-tech agricultural models in Hoi Son and Phuc Son communes.In the period 2013 - 2017, Anh Son district has implemented the construction of 20 models, agricultural extension projects, and training and transferring science and technology to over 10,000 farming households.

Recently, Anh Son district held a conference to review the restructuring of the agricultural sector such as the promotion and introduction of agricultural products; results of crop restructuring, technology transfer, application of high technology in production; disease prevention and control on crops and livestock.
Restructure the crop sector towards forming specialized areas for producing raw materials such as sugarcane, tea, and cassava associated with industrial processing, and introducing varieties with high yield and quality potential into cultivation. Develop buffalo, cow, and chicken farming for meat; form concentrated livestock areas far from residential areas; focus on developing aquaculture.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Sang - Chairman of Anh Son District People's Committee said that the district is reviewing and adjusting all types of agricultural production development planning such as high-tech agricultural planning, citrus fruit development planning, industrial tea planning... Promoting the application of science and technology and restructuring the agricultural sector towards increasing value and sustainable development. Strengthening measures to manage livestock breeds and animal feed; monitoring and controlling epidemics. Strengthening the management of agricultural, forestry and fishery product quality; continuing to build and develop safe agricultural and fishery production and consumption chains.
