Build many unique foreign information materials

The Steering Committee has focused on orienting foreign information work in conjunction with propaganda about the sea and islands; strengthening propaganda for investment, tourism and trade promotion activities; regularly coordinating with the Steering Committee to combat plots and activities of "peaceful evolution" in the fields of ideology and culture, refuting false and distorted arguments of hostile forces.
In order to promote and introduce the province's potential and strengths, the Board has coordinated with television channels such as Vietnamese cultural channels VTC10 and VTV4. Information, investment promotion documents, and tourist maps are published in many languages such as English, Russian, Japanese, Korean, etc. The province's press agencies also promote foreign information work in many diverse and rich forms with the motto "accurate, timely, flexible, suitable for each audience", opening specialized pages and columns such as: Investment Bridge, International Cooperation, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that foreign affairs activities have played an important role in attracting large foreign investors. The evidence is that large projects invested in Nghe An such as Hemaraj, Mitsubishi, ... have raised the position and created great momentum for the province.
Therefore, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that in the coming time, the activities of the Foreign Information Working Committee and the Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center should always go hand in hand, integrating all activities, to promote the image of Nghe An province to domestic and international friends.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that it is very necessary for the members of the Steering Committee to report on foreign information work monthly based on their functions and tasks to summarize and report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa suggested that it is necessary to increase information exchange between the Steering Committee and its members in order to collect information quickly, sensitively and fully.
Mr. Doan Van Nam - Permanent Vice President of the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations suggested that foreign affairs activities should focus on three areas: economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, and defense diplomacy, creating friendly cooperation between Nghe An and other provinces in the country as well as internationally. It is necessary to develop specific, clear programs and plans and monitor their implementation.
Delegates also made recommendations on a number of issues such as: creating conditions for officials working on foreign information to learn from domestic and foreign experiences; investment in foreign affairs activities is not commensurate with the role; not paying attention to information promotion through delegations...

Directing the working session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son acknowledged the contributions of the Steering Committee members, frankly acknowledging the limitations in foreign affairs work in the past time, which were still monotonous, the content and form were not diverse, rich, and lacked depth.
Orienting the tasks for the last 6 months of 2018, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son requested the Steering Committee to closely monitor and focus on disseminating the Party and State's policies and guidelines on foreign affairs to all levels, sectors, and all classes of people.
“We must consider this a key task. Because if foreign affairs work is not done well, there will be no “foundation” for foreign information,” the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized.
The Steering Committee for Foreign Affairs needs to strengthen cooperation and coordination with all levels, sectors and localities; as well as coordinate with central press agencies to have many unique foreign information materials to produce promotional and introductory programs about Nghe An.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Committee to closely direct cultural and mass media agencies to continue to improve their propaganda capabilities, diversify forms, and focus on the following contents: Nghe An's potential and advantages to attract investment, arouse internal strength and attract external strength to build Nghe An; fight against peaceful evolution plots, and refute the false arguments of hostile forces.
