The Steering Committee has focused on orienting external information work in conjunction with promoting awareness of the sea and islands; strengthening the promotion of investment, tourism, and trade activities; and regularly coordinating with the Steering Committee to combat the conspiracies and activities of "peaceful evolution" in the ideological and cultural fields, refuting the false and distorted arguments of hostile forces.
To promote and showcase the province's potential and strengths, the Board has collaborated with television channels such as the Vietnamese cultural channel VTC10 and VTV4. Investment promotion materials and tourism maps are distributed in multiple languages, including English, Russian, Japanese, and Korean. The province's media outlets also disseminate information on foreign affairs through diverse and varied methods, adhering to the principle of "accuracy, timeliness, flexibility, and suitability for each target audience," and have opened special sections and columns such as: Investment Bridge, International Cooperation, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, stated that foreign relations have played a crucial role in attracting large foreign investors. Evidence of this can be seen in major projects invested in Nghe An, such as Hemaraj and Mitsubishi, which have elevated the province's status and created significant momentum for its development.
Therefore, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that, in the future, the activities of the Provincial Foreign Information and Communication Committee and the Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center should always go hand in hand, integrating all activities to promote the image of Nghe An province to friends at home and around the world.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that it is essential for members of the Steering Committee to submit monthly reports on external information work, based on their functions and responsibilities, for compilation and reporting to the Provincial Party Standing Committee. Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa suggested strengthening information exchange between the Steering Committee and its members to ensure the rapid, sensitive, and comprehensive collection of information.
Mr. Doan Van Nam, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, suggested that foreign relations activities should focus on three areas: economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, and defense diplomacy, creating close and friendly cooperation between Nghe An and other provinces domestically and internationally. A specific and clear program and plan should be developed and its implementation monitored.
The delegates also proposed several issues, such as: creating conditions for officials working in foreign affairs information to learn from experiences both domestically and internationally; the fact that investment in foreign affairs activities is not yet commensurate with its role; and insufficient attention to information promotion through delegations...

Directing the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son acknowledged the contributions of the Steering Committee members, frankly admitting the limitations in foreign affairs work in the past period, which were still monotonous, lacking diversity and richness in content and form, and lacking depth.
In outlining the tasks for the last six months of 2018, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son requested the Steering Committee to closely monitor and focus on disseminating the Party and State's guidelines and policies on foreign affairs to all levels, sectors, and segments of the population.
"We must consider this a top priority. Because if foreign affairs work is not done well, there will be no 'foundation' for foreign information dissemination," the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized.
The Steering Committee for Foreign Affairs needs to strengthen cooperation and coordination with all levels, sectors, and localities; as well as coordinate with central press agencies to obtain more unique foreign affairs information materials for producing programs to promote and introduce Nghe An.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Committee to closely follow the directives of cultural and mass media agencies to continue improving propaganda capabilities, diversifying forms, and focusing on the following contents: the potential and advantages of Nghe An to attract investment, unleashing internal strengths and attracting external forces to build Nghe An; combating the peaceful evolution plot and refuting the false claims of hostile forces.
