While visiting the farm, the man discovered that the farm he rented out had strange plants growing, suspected to be marijuana, so he reported it to the police.

On July 28, Cu M'gar District Police (Dak Lak Province) said that the unit had removed a large area of illegally grown cannabis plants in a coffee plantation in A ring village, Cuor Dang commune, Cu M'gar District.

Authorities seized cannabis plants for investigation.

Previously, on August 26, Mr. Y Cin Nie (born in 1958, residing in A ring village) went to visit his field and discovered that the field he had rented to someone else had many strange plants planted inside, and the field was surrounded by corn and cassia trees.

Afterwards, Mr. Y Cin took some leaves of this plant and asked the locals. He was told that it was a cannabis plant, so he reported it to the police.

Upon receiving the report, the police of Cu M'gar district went directly to the scene and discovered 281 cannabis plants, 1.2 - 2m high, grown on an area of about 2,500 m2 in Mr. Y Cin's garden. The authorities then removed all the cannabis plants and seized the evidence for investigation.

According to Mr. Y Cin's report, since June 2008, he has leased land to a man named Duong (unknown background, residing in village 4, Hoa Thuan commune, Buon Ma Thuot city) for a period of 15 years to grow coffee and corn. After leasing, Mr. Y Cin did not visit the field or meet Mr. Duong, however, when he accidentally visited his field, he discovered the incident.
