On the morning of August 2, 2018, the Environmental Police Team of Vinh City Police caught the facility red-handed.Vinh Phung poultry slaughterhouse owned by Mr. Bui Xuan Phung (born 1961) is slaughtering 50 ducks, of which 30 have had their feathers plucked using boiled pine resin.

The authorities made a record of the seizure at the scene including: 3 kg of dry pine resin, 3 kg of borax and the above-mentioned ducks to handle according to regulations.
At the time of inspection, Vinh Phung poultry slaughterhouse was operating without a license and without a certificate of food safety eligibility.

Every day this facility slaughters hundreds of ducks but does not have a wastewater treatment system and discharges waste directly into the domestic wastewater system, causing a foul odor that affects the surrounding living environment.
