This season, Que Phong district has planted more than 2,200 hectares of rice, currently in the tillering stage. However, according to the report of the district's Plant Cultivation and Plant Protection Station, there are currently dozens of hectares of rice in the communes of Muong Noc, Tien Phong, Chau Kim... with brown planthoppers and white-backed planthoppers with a density of 400 - 500 individuals/m2.

Mr. Phan Xuan Hung - Head of the Plant Cultivation and Plant Protection Station of Que Phong district said: White-backed planthopper is the vector of black-striped dwarf disease, so the Station sent samples to the Department of Plant Cultivation and Plant Protection for testing.
