New: Holidays and Tet 2019 will be 18 days off
On August 6, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs issued Notice 3238/TB-LĐTBXH on holidays and Tet in 2019 for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations.

Accordingly, on the occasion of the 2019 Holidays and New Year, civil servants and public employees will have 18 days off, specifically as follows:
New Year's Day holiday: 4 consecutive days off: from Saturday, December 29, 2018 to Tuesday, January 1, 2019; make up work on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
Lunar New Year holiday is 9 consecutive days: from Saturday, February 2, 2019 to Sunday, February 10, 2019.
On the occasion of Victory Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1): Civil servants and public employees will be off from Monday, April 29, 2019 to Wednesday, May 1, 2019, and will work as a compensatory day on Saturday, May 4, 2019.Thus, on this occasion, civil servants and public employees will have 5 consecutive days off from Saturday, April 27, 2019 to Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
Agencies and units that do not have fixed holidays every Saturday and Sunday will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable holiday schedule.
