The head-on collision between two container trucks left drivers Hoi and Cuong dead, and a busboy in critical condition, trapped in the cabin.

On the afternoon of August 8, Mr. Pham Van Hoi (32 years old) was driving a container truck with a Ha Tinh license plate on the Ho Chi Minh trail. When he reached the section passing through Son Tien commune (Huong Son district, Ha Tinh), he crashed straight into a container truck with a Ninh Binh license plate driven by Phan Van Cuong (29 years old) going in the opposite direction.

The head-on collision killed the two drivers, Hoi and Cuong, and injured a bus assistant. Authorities and local residents used a hacksaw to cut open the cabin and bring the victims out. The bus assistant from Ha Tinh is currently in critical condition at the hospital.

"At the time of the accident, I heard a loud noise and when I ran out onto the street, I saw the two cars stuck together," said a witness.

At the scene, two container trucks overturned, their heads deformed, many pieces of debris scattered, with blood and oil stains all over the road.

Huong Son District Police dispatched a tow truck to remove two container trucks from the scene to clear the road and investigate the cause of the accident.
