Building an overpass costing over 6 billion VND in front of the Northern Bus Station of Vinh City
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued a decision to allow the establishment of an urgent investment project for a pedestrian overpass across National Highway 1A in front of Bac Vinh Bus Station, Vinh City. The project investor is the Nghe An Department of Transport.

Accordingly, the project will be built in 2019 in Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city. The capital source for implementation is over 6 billion VND from the provincial budget, traffic safety and order assurance funds and other legal sources. The scale of investment in the bridge is according to the design of a 1-span steel truss bridge over National Highway 1 and the western service road with an expected length of 47m, width of 2.5m; steel pipe bridge piers placed on bored pile foundations.
The investment objective of the project to build a pedestrian overpass in front of the Bac Vinh Bus Station gate is to ensure the safety of pedestrians passing through the National Highway 1A gate, thereby overcoming the potential risk of accidents, ensuring order and traffic safety for local people, passengers and vehicles traveling on National Highway 1A, the western service road and entering and exiting the bus station.
