"We live in a world of politics rather than international relations, where everything is done with symbolic rituals. Therefore, the Austrian Foreign Minister inviting the president of one of the leading countries in the world will not be an ordinary sign, but a very positive signal," said Andrei Bystritsky, an expert at the Valdai International Discussion Club.

According to expert Andrei, it is difficult to determine whether or not political issues will be discussed at this event.

"If so, then the meeting becomes an exploration, an attempt to create an informal conversation to open up, to discuss possible future issues. We don't know exactly whether that is true or not. But clearly, the wedding invitation comes from a sincere or desire to meet, talk, and of course, there will be conversations there," - expert Andrei analyzed.

Experts say that many international issues sometimes require algorithms to decipher. Importantly, the wedding will take place before the Russian President's meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. And it seems that European politicians are looking to Russia for support amid "complications" in relations with Washington.

"European politicians are really thoughtful, meticulous people. They are also looking for ways to change the world situation. In general, we can see a process that includes many different elements at different levels to reshape the world order, and then a new system of relations," said Mr. Andrei.

The Russian President’s visit to the Austrian Foreign Minister’s wedding will certainly attract attention and receive mixed reactions from Western society, especially Western European countries. But expert Andrei believes that this is the most important feature.

"The political basket of roses never has a common denominator for all. In that 'flower basket' there will be flowers with many different directions. Likewise, Europe will of course have mixed reactions," said Mr. Andrei.

According to him, there will be many discussions and heated debates on this topic. But above all, the meeting in Vienna is a completely personal meeting, no one can "penetrate" deeply.

As for Austria, the Foreign Ministry press secretary said that President Putin's visit was not political in nature, but simply a private celebration, a personal visit. Therefore, it did not affect Austria's foreign policy.
