Motorcycle catches fire after collision with truck, one person dead
One victim died, the other suffered multiple traumatic brain injuries and had to be transferred to the hospital, after colliding with a truck going in the opposite direction. The motorbike was burned to the frame.
At around 11pm on August 19, twin brothers Nguyen Quoc Toan and Nguyen Thanh Thai (17 years old) were riding a motorbike in Phu Dong commune (Gia Lam district).When they reached the intersection of Phu Dong - Cau Trac, their car collided with a truck going in the opposite direction.

The strong impact caused the motorbike to fly off the road and burst into flames. The two victims were then taken to the Phu Dong Commune Health Station for emergency treatment. "Toan died, and Thai suffered multiple traumatic brain injuries and was transferred to Viet Duc Hospital for emergency treatment," informed the leader of Phu Dong Commune.
Police are investigating the cause.
