Russian Foreign Minister: UN secretly prohibits assistance to Syria's economic reconstruction
The UN Secretariat secretly banned the organization's units from participating in the restoration of the Syrian economy - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced.

"It turns out that the political department of the UN Secretariat has published and circulated throughout the UN system a secret directive in October last year, prohibiting organizations in this system from participating in any projects aimed at restoring the Syrian economy. Only humanitarian assistance, nothing else" - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"And once again, the condition for economic reconstruction of Syria set by the UN is that only after achieving the so-called political transition can we start to restore Syria" - Mr. Sergei Lavrov further emphasized the UN's policy.
