Nghe An: Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee investigates the case of 569 war invalids who were not the right subjects
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee chaired and coordinated with the Provincial Military Command, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Investigation Police Agency, and Provincial Police to organize a working session to advise on how to handle violations in creating fake war invalid records according to the Inspection Conclusion of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

At the meeting, representatives of the above-mentioned relevant agencies said: After the Inspection Conclusion of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on the discovery of 569 cases of dishonest records to take advantage of policies in the province, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Plan 507/KH-UBND dated July 27, 2018 requesting the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Provincial Military Command to suspend the regime of 569 war invalids who made false declarations, forged documents or were not on the list of wounded soldiers. Accordingly, on July 31, 2018, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Official Dispatch No. 2387 requesting the Departments of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of districts, cities and towns to temporarily suspend subsidies and preferential policies for war invalids from August 1, 2018 for cases where the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs inspectorate concluded that the war invalids' records did not ensure legality.
On August 6, 2016, the Provincial Military Command issued Official Dispatch No. 2762 to the Military Commands of districts, cities and towns in the province to review the information of each case, examine, verify, and specifically grasp the nature and level of errors in each file; meet, directly notify and explain in writing specifically about the violations to 569 subjects with files; Carry out procedures to revoke injury certificates for 569 cases identified as false declarations, forged documents or not on the list of injured soldiers (original) kept at the unit according to the Conclusion of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
Regarding the direction of handling and recovering funds granted to subjects who falsified war invalid records, the representative of the provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that the Department is currently coordinating to review these subjects based on the following categories: poor households, near-poor households, serious illnesses or deceased households to recover.
The Investigation Police Agency - Provincial Police is also focusing on classifying to determine the subjects and responsible authority of each unit, locality, and individual, thereby having a direction for handling in accordance with the provisions of law./.
