After 2 months of investigation and monitoring, at 11:30 a.m. on August 21, at km 79+800 of National Highway 46 in village 3, Thanh Thuy commune (Thanh Chuong), the Department of Crime and Drug Prevention, Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) coordinated with Nam Dinh Provincial Border Guard to discover and arrest Phoong Xong, 29 years old, residing in Xay Cham Bon district, Bolykhamxay province (Laos) who was illegally transporting drugs.

According to initial statements, the subject transported the above amount of drugs across the border to Vietnam to sell for profit, but when arriving at the above location, he was discovered and arrested.
