Syrian air defense ready to fight against US military firestorm
The situation in Syria is heating up again with signs that the US-led coalition will launch airstrikes against Syria. Syrian air defenses are on combat readiness.

Moscow's warning that Washington was massing forces came shortly after US National Security Adviser John Bolton left open the possibility that the US would launch a new air strike on Syria if Damascus was found to have used chemical weapons against civilians.
The Russian Defense Ministry, announcing that it had learned of the US deployment of the USS Ross carrying 28 Tomahawk cruise missiles to the Mediterranean Sea last weekend, seemed to further reinforce its view that this latest US move would create an opportunity for its military to attack any location in Syria.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov stressed that terrorists in Idlib province, Syria are preparing to stage a chemical weapons attack against civilians to blame the Damascus government. This official is also concerned that this provocative action will contribute to creating an excuse for "big guys" such as the US - UK - France to launch airstrikes in Syria.
On August 27, Russia even specified the time and location of the chemical attack "drama" being staged in Syria, warning that foreign experts had arrived in Syria and that the chemical attack could be staged in the next two days.
It is not impossible that the April 2018 scenario (when the US and its allies launched airstrikes against Syria) could repeat itself once again. And Russia’s concerns are not without basis, as not long after the US threat, French President Emmanuel Macron also affirmed that France is ready to continue conducting airstrikes against Syria if the government uses chemical weapons.
Many military experts have also commented that a large number of US and allied warships appearing near Syria could be seen as a preparation for a missile attack on this Middle Eastern country.
“Russia has been talking about it,” said Sarikis Kassargian, a political analyst. “Let’s talk about the US Navy, they are mobilizing and they are arranging their plans in a number of countries. This also means that there is a scenario, a completed scenario that they are trying to implement.”
Facing the threat of attack, the Syrian government has just confirmed that the country's air defense forces are on the highest alert. Syrian air defense systems and soldiers are in a state of combat readiness, ready to repel a possible surprise attack on Damascus and surrounding areas. Sources supporting the Syrian government said that the country's military is awaiting orders to repel a missile attack by the US-led coalition, if it occurs.
It is clear that the situation in Syria has just heated up again after the US, Russia and France simultaneously warned each other about the possibility of a chemical weapons attack and a response military intervention by the West in this Middle Eastern country.
It is unclear whether starting a new war at this time will change the political situation in Syria or not when the situation in this country is progressing positively, the conflict is coming to an end, the Syrian government has liberated and controlled more than 90% of the territory, is preparing to welcome refugees back, and is planning to rebuild the country after the war.
Not to mention a new attack under the joint efforts of major countries such as the US, UK, and France could be the source of a larger-scale war in the region, the consequences of which are difficult to predict.
